The first time Kristy and Nick crossed paths was downtown Fort Lauderdale, while mutually attending a nothing less than romantic outing: classy Fort Lauderdale bar crawl. However, their love story really began a year later when fate had reconnected the two.

The story goes- a beautiful Saturday afternoon after a girls day at brunch, one of Kristy's girl friends asked her if she wanted to join her in hanging out with her boyfriend and his friend. Kristy was in for a surprise not knowing that this "friend" happened to be someone she already knew. Once she arrived, she quickly realized she had already met him the year prior. They ended up hitting it off, making plans to adventure together in Fort Lauderdale as they discovered to having many common interests.

As their fun filled day neared an end, Kristy feared the possibility of disappointment if Nick did not ask for her number. So, she took matters into her own hands, and in that moment decided to pull an Irish goodbye, hoping if he enjoyed the day as much as she did, he would find a way to make it happen again. Naturally, the feeling was reciprocal, and with the help of mutual friends, Nick successfully obtained Kristy’s digits. They went on their first date September 17, 2020, and have been inseparable ever since.

Three short years later, Nick and Kristy coordinated what she presumed to be a casual NYC trip, although Nick had a bit more hidden up his sleeves… While the two enjoyed the views (and cocktails) 100 stories into the beautiful skies of Manhattan, Nick pulled off the ultimate surprise. Down on one knee, he not only asked her to spend the rest of their lives together, but also, arranged for her whole family to be a part of this magical moment. Talk about dreams coming true!
